Immunization against Influenza is recommended and considered safe in all trimesters in pregnancy.  We at 1st Choice Obstetrics & Gynecology recommend that all pregnant patients and family members be immunized against Influenza.  The Center for Disease Control as well as the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommend vaccination for the H1N1 strain of Influenza.  This vaccination will be available in our office as of October 2009.
